The Filament Tapes are used in packaging applications. Also known as strapping tapes, these are pressure sensitive tapes widely used in several packaging processes such as closing corrugated fiberboard boxes, reinforcing packages, bundling items, pallet unitizing, etc.

There is a pressure sensitive adhesive material coated onto a backing material that is generally a polypropylene or polyester film and fibreglass. To make the tapes high in their tensile strength, filaments are embedded in the material.
